The reSACKEL bags
One of the reasons old fabrics were used was because new fabrics take further resources and energy to manufacture. Although cotton fabrics are environmentally friendly, they still take up land, labour, water and energy to make it. Yet, this does not help anything to reduce the number of thousands of plastic bags disposed a day. Did you know that an old fabric sack has enough plastic to make 20 or more disposable plastic bags??? So why use new fabric bags when the old ones are just as good or maybe even better? Furthermore, the sacks are tough and could last a long time even under alot of weight. It is also very easy to clean. Just wipe it with a damp cloth and most of the grime and dirt and gone!
However, the sad thing is although such methods of using less plastic bags existed, the amount of plastic bags disposed a year are still reaching as high as 8 BILLION bags !!!! So let's do our part and start using these reSACKLE bags right now!

Why and how we decide on 1 of the learning issues
- Reduction in its water and energy bills ( install toilet bowls with half flush)( use auto sensor lighting)
Our group members thinks that sometimes excessive water is used to flush and its a waste of water which increase water bills. Our group members agreed , that the last person exiting the class sometimes had forgotten to switch off the light, and common areas such as the washing room sometimes is not in use, but the lights are still switched on. Hence our group members thinks it is the best to use auto sensor lighting to conserve energy.
- Reduction of the school's negative impact on the environment(use refillable stationery such as pen and correction tapes)
Our group members realise that using refillable stationery can also prevent negative impact on the environment as when using refillable stationery, we use the same plastic cover for a long time. Refillable stationery can help the environment much more , as non-refillable stationery will be dumped and burned at the incinerator and harmful chemicals will be produce when burning plastics and will be let off into the atmosphere which will have negative impact on the environment.
- Improvement of the quality of the school's indoor environment( Fine students who litter in the school)
Our group members have strongly encouraged this method of improving the quality of the school's environment. This method is useful as students have only limited pocket money and so they will prevent littering in the school , this method would be much more useful than to reprimanding students who litter as they might repeat the same action again in the future as reprimands received by the students have not much impact on them.)

Tips of conserving energy and water(prt 1)
1.Using the fans instead of air-con.
2.Raise the temperature of air-con.
3.Use water that is used to wash vegetables to water plants.
4.Do the 'half flush' technique if possible(please do not use it when you are passing motion as it could end up only 'half flushed' with stains of it on the toilet.
5.Switch off electricity appliances when not in use.
By doing so, you can also apply this tips to the school!
